Hello My Ghibli guys & gals!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Renèe and I am a 27 year old mother of two. I, like many others, find comfort in anime and manga, I wanted to take that feeling a bit further and write reviews/reactions to potentially help others find that comfort as well. Growing up with extreme social anxiety and bipolar depression, it wasn't always easy to find outages. That is, until I discovered anime. I was about 7 the first time I was introduced to My Neighbor Totoro, which started my Studio Ghibli obsession. Growing up in Alaska we were blessed with beautiful scenery and the untouched wilderness, so it wasn't such a far fetched dream that one day I'd find my very own Totoro. With that I continued to find more anime/manga that I loved! My very first series (at about 8/9) was Magic Users Club, that opened the door to Inuyasha and countless others. My very first manga was Boys Over Flowers, and if you're a fellow manga reader you'd know if I wrote what door my first manga opened up for me, we'd be here for hours. It's addicting! Am I right? As I grew up the love for both anime/manga and the Asian culture grew even deeper. It's a lifestyle for me. I've even raised my children up on it. They're learning what they vibe with best day by day. So I'm here to help & share my experiences with fellow anime loving mothers too!
